Johannes Brahms' Alphorn Motive

In 12 september 1868 Johannes Brahms wrote down a melody for alphorn, which he heard on the Rigi, and later incorporated in the last movement of his First Symphony.

Thus, more than hundred years ago, a melody for alphorn was known throughout the world.
